Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred for overnight in Hotel Mille Colline (Comfort) or Kigali Serena Hotel (CExclusive / Premium).

After breakfast, you will enjoy a tour through the city of Kigali (you will have the opportunity to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial). Depart from Kigali after lunch and drive to Ruhengeri, a small town that serves as the base for the Gorilla Trekking. You’ll arrive in the early evening.

At 06h30, and after an early breakfast, depart from your lodge to the National Park. At 07h00 you will brief with your designated “Golden Monkey Guide” from the park authority and then drive to the trailhead for your trekking. The Golden Moneys are an even more endangered species than the mountain gorillas and it was only in Rwanda that they were successfully habituated. Enjoy your trek while watching these playful creatures high up in the threes. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon visit to Red Rock Cultural Centre.

Today after an early breakfast you'll go trekking into the rain tropical forest of Volcanoes National Park. After the briefing from the rangers of the ORTPN (the Rwanda Park Authority), you'll reach the starting point of your trekking, according to the family you have been appointed to. You’ll spend one hour observing their daily life: feeding, playing, and resting. After the trek, you’ll get back to your lodge for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure.
